Lou Tocco
All Out Adventures was launched by Lou Tocco as a way to introduce others to a very special world that he and other outdoorsman know and love. The ‘lure of life’ as Lou passionately refers to the outdoors experience - one that many have yet to experience - is one that a television show, video clip or even a book cannot capture. Rather, it is the genuine experience and exposure to the great outdoors which creates a most memorable experience. Getting back to the basics of nature, in nature … that’s why Lou chooses to take to the ‘fly’ when fishing, and a traditional bow with handmade arrows when out in the woods. Lou’s ‘lure of life’ is what drives him to share his passion with those who are curious or wanting to experience it for themselves.
Lou is a NYS licensed outdoor guide who has been directing diverse levels, ages and interests since 2004. Lou promotes archery, hunting and fly fishing; often combining these activities with woodsmanship, camping, hiking, kayaking, orienteering and survival skills. Added to the repertoire from time to time are adventure sports such as backcountry skiing, mountain biking and the like. Lou’s expertise in these traditional and challenging activities renders him a natural instructor, imparting his passion and aptitude to all levels of campers.
When Lou is not in the great outdoors instructing or recreating, he is in the classroom teaching middle school science and health. His rapport, caring and patience with his students is a testimonial that instruction is what Lou was born to do. Lou rounds out his passions with ice hockey – a sport that he’s participated in since age six. An acclaimed coach, professional instructor/consultant and (still) player, Lou has been established with USA Hockey and reputable hockey organizations throughout the New York/New England region for over three decades.
Those who know Lou endearingly comment he is “a man for all seasons”.
